✊ Holidays in Lockdown Exprince ✊

Ni Hao readers and welcome back to my blog. Todays blog post is going to be reflecting about my 2week holidays in Lockdown. I'll be talking about my two favorite things I did in Lockdown one of them was casually going online and talking to my friends and going on a ride to the beach. It was a casual cold night its suppose to be spring almost summer but anyways what happened that night, I was just chilling on my chromebook and just going through my socails (Tiktok and Youtube etc). I felt very bored I decide to face time my friends on google meets and we'd all stay up trying to connect with each other online and I've stayed up online for hours non-sleep, usually I went to bed at 4am and woke up around 12 or 1pm. (Yep really late), It was the holidays so there was nothing intersting to do but eat all these ice blocks my dad brought for us (For he works at Tip Top), I really like eating ice blocks I usually ate heaps and I get hungry and eat lots of food. During the Holidays some days we went on Night rides since we we're in lockdown I always was bored and we had to go on walks to the Mountian for example (Very tiring and annoyed). Another thing I loved doing in the holidays was binge watching all my asian dramas (Although I still do it during my freetime), I loved watching many things and I watched Squid Game, My name, I'm Not a Robot also some shows such as On my Block, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diares  and stay up for hours watching really tiring but always worth doing because its fun!

Fakalofa lahi atu ki mua and welcome back to my blog! It has been a really long time blogging and today I am coming back with another blogpost and its about celebrating and embracing this culture (as I'm not Niuean though), I like embracing everyones culture and this week I've been learning with Room 8, So many legends and myths about the small island and we've also played kahoot (Its this learning game) about Niuean language week. The theme of Niuean Language Week of 2021 is  Kia Tupuolaola e Moui he Tagata Niue means  May the Tagata Niue thrive. What did I learn from the Niuean culture is that its very simlliar to some of the Pacific Islands and its really easy learning. What I enjoy learning about this culture is just using my knowledge of other cultures to understand the meaning of words and learning so much about their myths and legends was really fun! I really hope everyone has a safe lockdown and Happy Niuean Language Week, Here are a few things that will help you learn some Niuean for the culture! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿฆ‹ Reflection of Term 3 ๐Ÿฆ‹

Konchiwa readers and welcome back to my blog! Well todays blog post is going to be about my refelction on Term 3. So far to start I only had a few weeks with my class and we we're going on our ballet trip and ochestra trip. During the Ballet trip, it was discovered Covid-19 Delta has finally came to NZ, and once again the whole country became to be in lockdown and then it became only Auckland stuck in lockdown, so many cases but I'm going to talk about my learning. The few things I've learnt in online learning in Ms Ashley & Mr J's Classes I mostly learnt about Maths all the normal learning subjects I mostly do in classes. What I really enjoyed was being in Ms Ashely's classes and learning about Myths and Legeneds and being able to conect with the other students on the online sessions and summarise what we've learnt for five mintues. I want to work on alot of things because in my oringial class with Mr Jasne I always tend to be confused with maths, I really like maths but it sometimes hard when learning so much about angles and how to solve them also something about circle. I also enjoyed getting lots of feedback from Mr Janse, because it helped me strive to achieve all my goals.

๐Ÿงช Genetics Science ๐Ÿงช

Talofa readers and welcome back to my blog! Today's Online session with Room 9, We learnt about Gennetics and we had to chose a subject in Genetics, I'm currently working on Genetic Science. Now you maybe wondering.

"What is Genetics Science"? Genetics is a study of genes and heredity- of how cenrtain qualities or traits are passed down from their parents to off spring as a result of changes in DNA. One of my reasons I've chose Genetics Science is because I like learning more about genes and I like taking a challenge and it seems like a challenge.

Let's learn aboout "Can DNA Demand a verdict"? In 1987, forsenic DNA analyis made its first appearneace in US court room. Oringianlly known as "DNA printing", this type of analyis is now called "DNA profiling" or "DNA testing" to distingush it from tradtional skin fingerprinting. Even though its use for crinimal cases, DNA profling has helped how to find the suspects in mostly violent crimes such as rape or murder.

What I found out is about the article I read about Genetics science is that DNA can be used for alot of things such as looking for the suspect esspecialy in a crime. "DNA testing", I really liked learning about this because it could help alot of people if they are studying more about things as law here are some example of photos that describes about the DNA :

๐ŸŒฑ Biosecurity ๐ŸŒฑ

Hola readers and welcome back to another blogpost with Lily! In online learning session today we are learning about Biosecurity, What is biosecuirty you may be wondering? It's the topic we would be learning about that has to do with sicince. Biosecurity is a protection of an enviorment in New Zealand from Biogical threats. Why is biosecurity really important? The biosecurity system prevents or manages risks from harmful organsims, like pests and diease. The system of biosecurity helps protect New Zealand's ecconomy, enviroment, human health. It does this by stopping pests and diesases before they arrive. What I've learnt about Biosecurity is that it helps everyone in the country and that it is really helpful! I hope that we can find many conclusions to solve problem's like diease and stuff. I really enjoyed learning this for my day in home learning!

Question of my blog : What do you think about biosecurity?
Hope you can give me some feedback :)

๐Ÿฉฐ RBNZ Reflection ๐Ÿฉฐ

Bonjour readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be doing a reflection about tuesday, this was before we knew lockdown happened, yet it was such a fun exprince of learning how to ballet and it was cool looking at others peform.

17th of August it was a beautiful day and every student from year 4-8 at Tamaki Primary School we’re going on a trip to Manukau Vodafone Centre to watch a Ballet performed by Royal Ballet New Zealand.

The reason we're going on this trip is because our inquiry topic is about Arts & Performance. During the trip we’re in this big bendy bus with Tala Muka O Tonga (The tongan class), Te Puna Wairua (The Maori class) & Room 9 (My classroom). It was so loud in the bus everyone sounded like animals and I was sitting there in silence looking at the roads and seeing how cars work.

I was beginning to get lost in my own imagination until we had finally arrived at the Manukau Vodafone Center, our class was the last to get off the bus. As I walked in I could just feel the breeze of the loudness, as soon we had arrived to our arranged seats Lily, Lino & I decided to become friends with these students from Papakura Normal school (Yet we still don’t know their names), we introduced ourselves to them and started asking them questions until it was time to watch the performance the host of the show was talking about what ballet show we’d be watching and it was the Swan Lake.

The Swan lake was based on the story of a Princess that had turned into a swan but at night she’d be human again and there was a Prince that found her beauty so naturally they danced and danced and the performance was ending with a good duet. I really enjoyed watching this performance because I learnt a lot about ballet after watching it. The host of the show said we could become performers too, so two students from other schools we’re taught some of the ballet moves from the duet. It was kinda cool to see other people perform.

Later on, the ugly duckling show was coming on and Lino, Lily & I slept throughout the whole show as I could wake up and then fall back to sleep in my dream. I couldn’t understand the story behind the Te Reo Maori but it was cool. As soon as I could hear applause I knew the show had ended but there were a few things we had to do. There were some questions from schools they wanted to ask the dancers, some questions we’re kind of personal and others we’re just about their journey throughout ballet.

Overall, throughout the trip I really enjoyed the bonds I had with my friends and it was quite funny during the bus being around Lino & Mariah on our way back, as we got back to school I was walking so fast on my way to school rushing for I was so obsessed to get a bite of food & as I was going back home it was when I knew it was when the news popped up that Delta Covid-19 had returned to New Zealand and here we are in Covid-19 Lockdown, I was so frightened for we had just returned from a trip that we could’ve had covid with us spreading or who knows what! I’m glad we have a lockdown and that it might get extended due to so  many new cases.

IALA : ๐ŸŒน How to response text about The day of the dead ๐ŸŒบ

Hola readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be doing a blogpost about my response text about the day of the dead, if you are wondering what does the day of the dead means it's about honoring all the loved ones that has passed away, it is a tradtional thing in Mexico, it is celebrated on October 31st, November 1st & 2nd! During the day of the dead the families of the loved ones who have died always often visit them and clean and decorate their grave. Dia De Los Muetros. The decorations they like to use on Dia De los Muetros (Day of the dead) are Sugar skull Masks, Decorating lanterns, DIY Marigolds, Painted sugar rocks & Custom Skull mugs. A fact about Dia de Los Muetros is that its a mexicain version of Halloween and it's a celebration about the living and the dead. The celebration is celebrated all over Latin America with colourful calaveras (skulls) and calacas (skeletons). The skulls and skeletons on the day of the dead are repsented of a playful symbol life after death, many times repsenting those who have died engaging their favorite activites.

I really liked learning about Dia de Los Muetros because it's a day to honour those who have died, It's really cool to learn about other cultures signficant about the day of the dead! I really liked this text that I've watched a movie called coco which has to do with Dia De los muetros, a really amazing movie & I recommend you to watch it!

IALA : ๐ŸŒ™ Reasoing in Geometrey ๐ŸŒ™

Talofa lava readers and welcome back to my blog! Today in room 9 we've had done a little recap on knowing the reasoning in Geometrey, what I've learnt was that a straight angle = 180 degrees. The equation I was given was quite diffcult to use because it had letters because we've used algerba (which I can't really explain).  Here is my example :

I really liked learning about this because it made me become more confident with myself, I found this really challenging and I always liked having challenges and I'm not really good with Maths and it was a good recap to learn more about it! Geometry can be fun if you just try and make mistakes along the way you'd know lots of things every single day :)

Question of my blog : Have you ever learned reasoing in geometrey?
Thank you so much :)

๐ŸŒฌ️ Reflection about Dogde Ball Twist & Ballet ๐ŸŽญ

Malo E lelei readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be reflecting on about our evasive game, I felt so excited and I was happy going outside to play a game. The game was called Dodge ball with a twist the rules we're kind of like netball and yeah. First of all we got into two teams and we started having three rounds of playing dogde ball with the twist. The skills was to learn how to coumicate to each other and learning to trust each other along the way, one of them was also I needed to catch the ball to help my teamates surround around other people in a conrener to tag them! I enjoyed learning more about my teamates and trusting them more and buliding postivie realtionships with others in my class room! It was so cold but we still had so much fun running around and getting togther! After Morning tea, Room 9 went to the ballet workshop. We learnt how to do a plate and leap and lots of excersing skills, it was great fun :). What I loved about the ballet lesson was that I really liked the leap skill and palate (bend), ballet is from france and I really love the dancing skills that Loren (our teacher) taught us! I had real fun today and I got to laugh around with my friends and learn more about them! Overall I hope you liked reading this :)!

Order of Operation (BEDMAS) with Lily. U

Talofa lava readers and welcome back to my blog! Today in room 9 we've learnt about Order of Operation. Have you ever heard about BEDMAS? Well I'll be explaining to you about what it is about! Order of Operation is about BEDMAS = Brackets, Exponets, Division, Mutilpication, Addition, Subtraction numbers this is a fourm that we use for maths that easier for us. For example I'll be compeleting this equation :  5 x (6 – 32) x 2 = (6 - 9 = -3) 5 x -3 = -15 x 2 = -30. I really liked learning about this type of maths because it gives me more things that I'm very capable!

Machine generated alternative text:
We use BEDMAS to solve problems with
multiple operations.
B Brackets
E Exponents
M Division I Multiplication
Addition I Subtraction

Question of my blog : Have you solved an equation with BEDMAS?

Question of my blog : What do you think about my DLO?

Thanks for readingg :)

๐ŸŽฏ LILY M & LILY U - 5 ways to kill a Man ๐ŸŽฏ

Aloha readers and welcome back to my blog! Today Lily M & I have compeleted this poerty task that was about 5 ways to kill a man by Edrick Brock, I've learnt alot and in the first santaza it teaches sus about how Jesus had crufuiced for our sins it was really fun learning and I really enjoyed it, here is our compeleted task with the poem you can read some of our questions and answers.

Five Ways to Kill a Man

There are many cumbersome ways to kill a man:

you can make him carry a plank of wood

to the top of a hill and nail him to it. To do this

properly you require a crowd of people

wearing sandals, a cock that crows, a cloak

to dissect, a sponge, some vinegar and one

man to hammer the nails home.

Or you can take a length of steel

shaped and chased in a traditional way,

and attempt to pierce the metal cage he wears.

But for this you need white horses,

English trees, men with bows and arrows,

at least two flags, a prince and a

castle to hold your banquet in.

Dispensing with nobility, you may, if the wind

allows, blow gas at him. But then you need

a mile of mud sliced through with ditches,

not to mention black boots, bomb craters,

more mud, a plague of rats, a dozen songs

and some round hats made of steel.

In an age of aeroplanes, you may fly

miles above your victim and dispose of him by

pressing one small switch. All you then

require is an ocean to separate you, two

systems of government, a nation’s scientists,

several factories, a psychopath and

land that no one needs for several years.

There are, as I began, cumbersome ways

to kill a man. Simpler, direct, and much more neat

is to see that he is living somewhere in the middle

of the twentieth century, and leave him there.

(Edwin Brock)

What is the event referenced in the first stanza? The first stanza is talking about the crucification of Jesus Christ. The method the soldiers used to totrue him and kill him was used as the word cumbersome. A whole crowd watched him being forced to carry a cross all the way to the hill where he was nailed to the cross and died.

What does the word cumbersome mean?  In the poem it was used as something big and strong that was supposed to totrue and kill Jesus

What historical event is referred to in the second stanza? King Authur’s Journey

What item is ‘the metal cage he wears’? Metal amour

What does the word banquet mean? A formal meal for people to eat as such as a party

What world event does the third stanza talk about? World war 1

What does the phrase ‘dispensing with nobility’ mean? The quality of being a noble character.

What world changing event is mentioned in the fourth stanza? Atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagaasaki during WW2.

What does the last stanza mean? Describing troublesome ways in which to kill men. But the simpler and cleaner way would be to let them live in the 1950s, because mankind can destroy themselves.

What ways to kill a man might the poet mean as being ‘simple, direct and much more neat’? Poverty, Inflation, Hunger, Unemployment and malnutrition.

Histiorical Landmark of Auckland Habour Bridge

 AUCKLAND HARBOUR BRIDGE

Lino & Maria -

The Auckland harbor bridge was built in 1954 and was opened on the 30th of May. The Tools and things they used to build the bridge was,

Clever cantilevering

Steel Girders

Concrete

Tonnes of steel

6800 liters of paint

cubic of concrete

The Harbor Bridge is 1017 m long but they used 5670 tonnes of steel, The staff workers worked 33 m below sea level preparing the concrete piers. 4 men died due to a protest that happened on the Auckland Harbour bridge. The 4 men died because they were on the side 1 of the bridge so they have died by accident

Mariah -

Who wanted to make the harbor bridge? Freeman-Fox and Partners included the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932 so the one who wanted to make the harbour Bridge was Freeman-Fox and partners and Auckland harbour bridge was officially made in 1932 and Since 1815, there were ideas to build the bridge in the Sydney Harbor. The background behind the harbour bridge in 1860’s an engineer named Fred Bell but the plan of making the bridge was too expensive with the gears and then in 1950’s the bridge was finally built and now it is a very popular historical Landmark to Auckland & New Zealand.

Lily -

What is Auckland harbour bridge? Auckland harbour bridge is located near the Northern way Motorway. The Bridge is operated by the NZ transport agency.  It is the second-longest road bridge in New Zealand and the longest in the North Island. Ever since the Auckland Harbour  Bridge has been built there are such things as traffic management happening for there was the bridge just in the motorway. In 2006, they decided to build lanes for cars with a limit of having only about 180,000 cars to drive in each lane. In March 2009 they decided to make a barrier machine since everything became more cars driving the harbour bridge.

Maria -

In May 1958 there was a 63-year-old man who came up with a plan to do a Bungy jump off the Harbour Bridge, and his name was A.J. ( Alan John Hackett ). The first jumps were made using a parachute harness, but Alan Hackett created an idea where the harness had to be tied around the ankle. They demonstrated it by actually jumping off the Harbour Bridge. Hackett traveled to Paris on behalf of New Zealand in 1986 and made the world's first public Bungy jump. He became famous after bungee jumping off the Eiffel tower, due to a brief jail sentence for an illegal feat.

๐Ÿ’ Someday Poem ♥️

Kamusta readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be doing a blog post about a someday poem that I've made on a google presentation, I hope you enjoy reading it!

Thank you soo much for reading my blog post!

๐Ÿ’ Recount Current Events ๐Ÿ’

Kia Ora readers and welcome back to my blog, today I’m going to be writing a recount about my current event article I’ve searched up not so long so here is my story, I hope you guys enjoy it !

What is the new Hollywood movie? Recently it has been confirmed that the movie is called They are Us, it is based on the 2019 tragic incident in Christchurch that happened. The movie is about how New Zealand’s Prime Minister (Jacinda Adren) had been given the message of how to unite together and that tragic moments like this shouldn’t be happening in New Zealand. Jacidina Adren doesn’t want her story to be told because she says that it’s the community’s story and their families.

During the attack a victim’s daughter was saying that the movie shouldn’t be shot because there are many muslims that would be hurtful watching the movie (They are Us) because it’s going to give them bad memories. The reason why they thought it was a good idea to hear their voices but then the movie wouldn’t be shot for there are many tragic reasons. After the interview with the victims daughter the director that was going to shoot the movie at hollywood said that it was too early to start shooting a  film about a terrorist attack that has only been 2 years ever since the attack happened.

In Conclusion, I think that they should not make the movie since it would bring bad memories to the mulsim people to what happened but it’s also good to hear a story that it can help everyone and spread awareness to this world! Awfully it’s best to listen to the community and their opinion because it’s their story not ours!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question of my blog : What do you think about realising the new movie they are us?

Thanks for reading my blog ♥️!

๐Ÿ˜ช Explanation Writing ๐Ÿ˜ช

Today's blog post is about my writing we've been doing which is a very new topic to me this term and it's about conspiracy theories if you don't know what are conspiracy theories I'll be explaining it in my writing down here, as for my structure of writing I've decided to use an explanation writing to explain my text! Hope you enjoy my story!

What are conspiracy theories? It is a theory that is a belief that an influential organization is responsible for an unexplained event, for example is covid-19 real or not, there are many popular conspiracy theories out there in the world that most scientists or a group of people explain how they believe it's fake or real!

My conspiracy theory theory is about a show that  is very popular and has still been going on for these past few years! It’s about Spongebob, everyone's childhood favorite but there’s a twist with the show. What is spongebob you may ask? Spongebob is a show that everyone liked to watch as a child, it’s very popular even today and the show has been going on for nearly 22 years. I’ve really found Spongebob a good show, that is filled with lots of fun and joy.

One of these theories is that it is believed that spongebob’s characters are the seven deadly sins! The seven deadly sins for the characters are represented  for Sandy she is represented as knowing for Pride why? Because she's always overjoyed when she is really good at something (which makes her kinda crazy). Mr Krabs is very greedy when it comes to money, he only cares about being rich which is why he's obsessed when someone tries to steal the Krabby Patty Formula, because it makes him rich and more money more obsession. Pearl (Mr Krabs Daughter) she is very boy-crazy and that's so weird but she's super obsessed with boys. Plankton always tries to find out Mr Krabs Krabby Patty formula and it makes him so jealous that he envies Mr Krabs and always tries but never gives up on his dream to open a famous restaurant that everyone would love. Mrs Puff is always addicted to eating too much which is making her eat too much and turn a bit fat, she also has a very bad temper with Spongebob. Squidward is always angst with everything, his job, work and life. He still keeps going but just in a bad mood every single day. Patrick is a sloth who is lazy but has down side sydrome ever since his parents didn't want him, he lives under a rock and sleeps too much that is why Patrick is unemployed (he's just too lazy like me sometimes!

Although every character is unique and has their own way of teaching us on what we should become oneday. In my opinion it’s about us knowing that we only live once, that we need to pick up what we all learn, that we can always never give up and that we can lead our own pathway to success for our own future. Most of all is that your dreams do come true if you have your own mindset! This conspiracy theory has taught me alot about myself and my own struggles and I’ve learnt from it and I’m grateful that I know I can change into a better person!

๐Ÿ™Œ Diamante Poem ๐Ÿ™Œ

Konchiwa readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be blogging about my Diamanate Poem. What is a diamate poem? Is a style of potery  that is formed into a diamond that makes seven lines. The first line in the poem will cotian a noun (which is a meaning of a person, thing, place). Next lines would be describing two words of each subject and using a verb and adjective for two lines! Here is my example of an Dimante poem!

⚡ Learning Journey Pathway ⚡

⚡ Learning Journey Pathway ⚡

WALT: describe and explain our learning pathway for the year.

Annyeonghaseyo readers and welcome back to my blog ! Its been about 5 weeks my class has been doing, the task we were talking about was a Learniing Journey Pathway, If you don't What a learning Journey Pathway is all about, it is basically about what you want to improve in your learning and how you can move on forward, because it is your own descision to become a sucessful learner. There are always going to be obstcatles during your own pathway but you would know that you can do it if you have the right mindset to learn !

For this task we had to pick out 5 goals. Everyone used a A3 Paper to trace their hand to put down their goals to turn into a learning journey pathway. Each finger has its own symbol for each goals I wanted to achevie on throughout my journey at TPS, at the bottom of the hand it repsented of who I am as a person :

Here is mine as an example :

And here are my 5 goals :

๐Ÿพ Deforstation ๐Ÿพ

Malo E lelei readers and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be doing a blogpost about Deforstation there are many infomation that Lily Mapa & I have found about which is actually good and intresting facts. Learning about Deforstation has really helped me think about the causes of gobal warming and that its a bad habit for our future, to get rid of deforstation we must stop cutting down the trees and start planting trees, try to use less of paper and start to recyle that is how we can stop deforestation and our earth can be a healtheir envimorent for animals and human beings. What is Deforestation ?

Deforestation refers to the decrease in forest areas across the world that are lost for other uses such as agriculture, urbanization, or mining activities.

What are the causes of deforestation ?

Human activities such as agricultural expansion, cattle breeding, timber extraction, mining, oil extraction, dam construction and infrastructure development.

What are the pros and cons of deforestation ?

Pros - More space for expansions & Job opportunity

Cons - Increase of Carbon Dioxide, Limited of resources, Flooding & Climate change

How did Deforestation start ?

In the 1950s forests and grasslands covered most of the earth. Although deforestation first became a concern in the 1950s, it has been an issue since humans began making fires a long time ago.

How does deforestation affect climate change ?

When trees are cut down and burned or allowed to rot, their storm of carbon is released into the air as carbon dioxide and this is how derogation and forest degradation contribute to global warming.

Why is it important to stop deforestation?

It is important to stop deforestation because it can damage a lot of things on this earth. How can we stop deforestation? Well we can stop cutting down trees for it leaves more carbon dioxide which is poisonous for gas which is harmful to breathe.

What country is most affected by deforestation?

Brazil is the first country and arguably the country that is most affected by deforestation. There are several factors that affect countries' forests including forest fires, and agriculture, but the main factor is cattle ranching.

Summary of Today's Work : I really think Lily & I have done a really good job on finding these instresting infomation on deforstation and I hope you enjoy reading more about what we've learnt! At first I really thought this work was harder than I excpted but then when we started to reserach and put our work altogther Lily & I started to get the hang of finishing of work and getting to know more knoweldge about deforstation and how it can  affect towards climate change & gobal warming ! I really like learning things like this and I can't wait to learn more about Deforstation and etc !

✨ Writing Term 1 ✨

 Heart broken in Winter

Winter was coming and the old man whose name was Peter, was sitting at the spot where he and first true love (Valarie)  met where he was holding her favorite dark pink rose crying because she had left him to become an angel.

Life became very hard for Peter as he was left lonely with no love in his life, but one day as he went past the snow he met his best friend who was a dog and he decided to call him Snowy because he found him outside the cemetrey as he was visiting Valerie, Peter thought that Snowy was a sign from Valerie to show her love to him as she has become an angel. Snowy became Peter’s best friend who was always there for Peter to cheer him up and most of the time they would walk around together in winter so chilly.

A few months later, Peter was diagnosed with an heart attack and he could only survive for a few days Snowy became a little bit sad that he always tried cheering up Peter to make him more happy but nothing worked, Peter was getting very ill that he couldn’t fight the heart attack and those few days passed by Peter died it was very sad for Snowy since he was his best friend. After the funeral service Snowy ran away and was found by a little boy named John near the village, and he became Snowy’s Owner for a while.

John became Snowy’s new buddy and they went everywhere together. John loved Snowy's company since his parents were always arguing over things he would be in his room or outside playing with Snowy during the wonderful season of spring. Spring started and John had woken up from his thrilling adventure dream he could hear his parents down stairs arguing that their bills were getting very high and things became more stressful, so then John and his parents divorced, as John heard them arguing to each other he decided he had enough so he left a note saying “Mum & Dad I’m sorry but I need time to explore somewhere very peaceful, remember I love you both”. His Mother started crying as she was running looking for her son in such a heartbroken winter, as John was running with Snowy they made it to their own happy ending and they lived Happyily ever after !

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ด Reaserch Writing ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ด

Malo E lelei readers and welcome back to my blog! Today's task in Rm9 was to  learn about  a research writing, my topic I've chose was my own culture which is.... Tonga ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ด! Our WALT : Reaserching other cultures!

History of Tonga : In the 12th century Tongans had a Tui’i O Tonga (Chief of Tonga). Around the 16th century European explorers had arrived such as Abel Tamasan (who visited Tongatapu & Ha’apai) in 1643. Soon After in 1845 a young tongn warrior named Taufa’ahau united tonga into a kingdom, later on he was baptised from these methodist minsorasies and changed his names to Siaosi. He was the first king of tonga named King Sioasi Tupou 1. During the 19th century the british people arrived in tonga with an agreement which is known as the treaty of friendship. After a few years the treaty ended in 1970 under the arrangement of Queen Salote before her death in 1965 and that is how Tonga became its own governor country and that is how the Pacific is very unique.

Tradition Tongan things : Kava is like anchol that they drink at night at a  fale kalapu (Kava club), which they also call faikava (To drink Kava). Only mens are allowed to do kava and the women are those who serve it, but women's possitison be unmarried or it's a young woman which they like to call a tou'a. In some of the outer islands of Tonga, kava is drunk almost every night, but on the main island of Tongatapu, it is usually drunk only on Wednesday and Saturday nights. With the introduction of television, rugby is usually watched by the kava drinkers, and the songs are sung in the commercial breaks.

Tau'olunga is what girls do on special occasions such as weddings & birthdays etc. During the girls Tau'olunga family members come around with lots of money and start to fakapale her, sometimes they like to join the girls to tu'uafale to make sure the girls are feeling comfortable. The girls have to always smile, it is always important to tauaalo in every single movement of the tau'olunga.

- Tau'olunga (Tonga Girls dancing)

- Traditional Kava

- King Sioasi Tupou 1

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really enjoyed this topic because I learned more about my culture and I had really fun doing this indepeant task by myself ! Next time I want to learn more about other cultures and theyre history!

Question of my blog : Where do you come from?

Thanks for reading my blog :)

๐Ÿ˜ƒ BODMAS ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Konchiwa readers and welcome back to my blog! Today in Room 9 we've learnt about BODMAS (Brackets, Order, Divison, Mutiplication, Addition, Subtraction), It's about the order of opreations in mathematics the order which we use is + - x ÷ is important in BODMAS!

I've just learnt to solve a BODMAS equation and I really thought it was diffcult but now its kind of fun to learn, its basically to learn all about the rules of BODMAS and its good to learn about! Even though I found it really diffcult my teacher explained it again and I finally got it with the example that I've used!

Here is an example of  how to use BODMAS (5x3)-(12÷4)+8 = 15-3+8=20!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maths GIFs - Get the best GIF on GIPHY

I kind of got confused about learning BODMAS is because I didn't really partipcaite and now I need to learn to stop being distracted and stay focus on my tasks, I really can't wait to  learn more about the BODMAS!

Question of my blog : What do you think about BODMAS?

Thanks for reading my blog! Make sure to give me some feeback :)

Well I'm writing it because I've done one of my tasks that was set off for today which was to do a Current Event (which I'll explain to you later), So basically a current event is about an event you pick from any news and you summarasie up it into your own words and as you can see I've picked *DRUM ROLL PLEASE*....... ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ Growth Mindset Quote Day 2๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

Kia Orana readers and welcome back to my blog! As you know its Week 4 & Auckland is back into lockodwn and I've been doing online learning, one of my presonal tasks I've been thinking about  doing a quote for today that will help everyone during this lockdown reading this wherever they are : “Your imperfections make you beautiful, they make you who you are. So just be yourself, love yourself for who you are and just keep on going”!

- Demi Lovato.

In my oppion I really think this quote is really inspring because it keeps me as a student still learning to keep on going and strive for sucess, I've really liked Demi Lovato as growing up and she was one of my favorite actress growing up and I really looked up to her and I still do now, this quote I've found of her saying is really helpful that it can moativae everyone during this lockdown! So everyone stop being sad and just keep on doing what you want to do !

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question of my blog : Who inspries you?

Thanks for reading, Hope you've learnt something new today !
