๐Ÿ•Technology ๐Ÿ•

Malo e lelei and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be doing a late night blogpost about technology, I'm very sorry for not keeping update with tech but it's because I'm usually never in the mood but today I'll be telling you guys what my class did in tech! So technically since its term 4, I'm finally in food tech (which is Mrs Hamer's group and I love learning about food, mostly because I just like eating and learning). In our class I was never this excited to learn about something but pizza, I was in joy to make pizza because I've never made it before, all I do is basically watch food but I don't learn how to cook it anyways at food tech, I was buddies up with one of my best friends Lily Mapa. Me & Lily were getting straight into cooking after Mrs hamer was telling our class the instructions, while we were dicing vegetables , slicing & making onion rings & getting the mince and rolling it into meatballs, we had to do it really fast like lighting because we didn't have that enough time. After the slicing the vegetables and rolling the mince into meatballs, we had our dough and start grabbing the tomato paste and spreading it all over we both decorated our own pizzas and it looked so delicious that it got me mouth watering already. The pizza got into the oven, Lily & I were cleaning our kitchen and washed the dishes and all that etc. After like about 15 mins waiting our pizza was baked and smelled so delicious that it was pulling me back in time ! Lily & I starting eating our pizza to check if it was cooked then our class finished and Lily & I ran out of the class to the bus like wild animals. In conclusion I really like my pizza and I can't wait to learn more about food tech because I was usually inspired by my dad to get into the cooking vibes and I still am today and I'm so joyful to be in food tech and learn more about Mrs Hamer & more about cooking !

๐Ÿข Evolution of turtles ๐Ÿข

Bonjour readers and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be blogging about our inquriy and it's about genomics. In my group we've learnt about the evolution of turtles and we have learnt so many interesting things about the specie, it was such a great experience learning about it and I've discovered so many different things, anyways here is Vaiola, Lilym, Courtney, Lino & I's work !

Evolution of sea turtles ( Chelonioidea )

Where did sea turtles evolve from?

Sea turtles originated from South Africa 260 million years ago at the shore of the ancient Karoo sea. Most of these turtles would continue to develop the armour plating ( A hard metal covering ) of their Proganochelys ancestors, streamlining it.

Where do Sea Turtles live?

Sea turtles come from all around the world. Males never leave the ocean, while the females leave the ocean so they lay  their eggs in the sand. They usually come from the cold waters off California. Then they swim out the warm beaches of the Coral triangle. They migrate long distances to feed, often crossing entire oceans.

Do sea turtles live long lives?

It’s difficult to know exactly how sea turtles can live. Their life span is often longer than most research projects. Most marine turtles take decades to grow between 20 and 30 years and remain active for another 100 years. They also have similar life spans as humans. The reason they live is because they grow very slow throughout their life.

Why are sea turtles endangered?

All seven sea turtle species are classified as endangered sea animals and that is mostly due to human activity. It gets accidentally caught in shrimp trawl nets, on longline hooks and in fishing gill-nets. Sea turtles need to reach the surface to breath and many drown once they get caught. They are killed for their eggs, meat, skin and shell.

Fun Facts :

They’re the oceans lawnmower

-   They hold their breath for 5 hours underwater.

-   Temperature dictates the sex of baby turtles.

-     They live to about 100 years.

-     Unlike other turtles , sea turtles can’t pull their heads and limbs    inside their shells.

๐ŸฅŠ Boxing Session Part 3 ๐ŸฅŠ

Annyeonghaseyo readers and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be blogging about Rm9's 3rd session with Pat in Boxing, I'm so excited to share some incredible skills I've learnt in boxing. It was 11:37 and our teacher (Mr Janse) forgot that we had kiwisport, that the whole class had to line up quickly outside and walked quietly down stairs all the way to the hall (which was like a 3min or 2min walk down stairs). Next we got into our gears it took us for ages because everyone felt like a sloth (which was kind of annoying because we wasted about 2mins of Pats time). After that we had to be in buddies with someone that we felt comfortable with but all my friends were buddies while I was lonely, so I had to buddy up with Sunny (which was okay I guess). After buddying up with him, we all had to watch Pat teaching us a new skill called Hook . The skill was exactly like Jab but instead you are twisting your body to your left and then you release and your hands should be across and the punch would be powerful. After that we learnt another skill  called Uppercut which you twist your body just like a hook and you release it for your punch which should be going in a direction of up and that is an uppercut. A while later we had to combine all the skills we learnt today with Jab and cross, it was very hard at first but then I got use to it and that it became fun. Overall I've learnt so much from boxing and I can't wait for our next catch up session on friday, and I can't wait to tell you readers more about what I've learnt!

✨ Dreams & Aspiration ✨

 ✨ Dreams & Aspirations ✨

Anneyaseo readers  around the world and welcome back to my blog ! Today I’ll be doing a blog post about my dreams and aspirations. I have so many dreams and goals that I want to succeed in school and life. I'm very proud of myself and I can't wait to accomplish them ! So Read this story about what my dreams are and what I want to accomplish in my life. Hope you enjoy reading this !

Everyone has a  dream in life that they want to achieve when they grow up.  Some want to become successful in life to get money. But to be successful you have to make sure that you work hard and achieve all your dreams.

My dream as a student is to become a  successful person by graduating from school, college, and university. To accomplish my dreams I  have to be focused and contribute to many things such as cultural groups, sports and many more. I  also want to make my parents proud and myself proud by making sure I’m 100% confident with my ideas and always working hard during learning time.

Another favorite dream I’ve always wanted to accomplish when I become an adult is to travel around the world. By doing this I would love to get a scholarship to study overseas so that I can learn along the way about their lifestyle and most importantly the food (which is my favorite thing to start with traveling since I would like to learn different types of food ).  So I would love to study abroad and take an ultimate tour around America especially becoming someone inspirational like actresses and singers or YouTubers that make money to become successful in life.

My last goal as a student would be to inspire more people with  my writing because I really want people to understand what I’m writing about and how that it can persuade people to become a better person. Passion for writing has made me realise as a student that I need to

inspire many people out there so that they can see what they can accomplish and that not everything is gonna be great if you try! Today I carry this quote everywhere I go, it is “Always try because you would never know what today’s gonna be about”.

Overall my goals are about achieving and succeeding even if I don't achieve all my goals I’m still happy that I didn't give up and try everything with doing work and studying more about everything and learning new things along the way. I’m excited to see what the future holds me and what I can achieve while I’m still a student attending school.

Thank you so much for reading my writing about my own Dreams & Aspirations !

If I could travel back in time ...

If I could travel back in time I would go to the time where all my ancestors we're alive and they all had adventures on their vaka (boat) and that their was so much too see on the sea. I would also like to figure out where do I come from because I'm so interested into figuring out if I'm really a mixed fruit salad Polynesian girl because I'm always interested in talking in different types of language since I love watching some many tv shows in different languages. I've always wanted to learn about it anyhow the reason why I chose my ancestors is because I really want to learn more about my Family tree, which I'd love to learn more about my ancestors and where did they come from? I have so many questions that I'd love to ask them, What did yous do ? Did yous travel around the world? How was life ? Did yous struggle? How hard was life in the past? There's so many questions I have in my mind that I really love to say to my ancestors but that would always be another time to answer. I really thank my ancestors for leading me into my journey and most of all the man up in the stairs who has guide me everytime.

๐ŸฅŠ Boxing Lesson Part 2 ๐ŸฅŠ

Kia orana readers and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be doing a late blogpost about Last week's session with Pax anyways I'll be doing a reflection ! So it was a classic old Friday and we had just finished our Morning tea and we just go into our second session with Pax. First of all, everyone had to be in buddies (my buddy was my boy bestfriend as in Lino). Next we had to get our gear to wear while practicing with pax (for our own safety), In the session I've learnt how to stick in my wall and to move forward and back which is pretty easy to learn and we  had to add our other skills we learnt the other friday (which was Jab & Cross). Although I've had really fun with Pax and I can't wait to learn more this week Friday and learn how to defend myself more !

Thanks for reading my blog posts:))

๐Ÿงฎ Mean Median Mode ๐Ÿงฎ

Kia orana readers and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be doing a blogpost about  Mean, Median and mode, it's pretty difficult to explain because it's three different topics that has to do with maths. I will be explaining about what is a Mean, Mode & Median, but first I'll be explaining about what  is a mean.

Mean is about adding up numbers and then dividing it after so then you add up all of the numbers  to get the total (2+11+2+4+ 5 = 35  ÷ 5 = 7). After you got your total you divided by the group of how many numbers of groups and that is how you calculate a mean.

Median is all about the middle number for example 3 2 1 and 2 is the median because it's the number in the middle. If it is an even group of numbers for example 1 2 3 4, the first thing you'll do is 2 + 3 = 5 ÷ 2 = 2.5 and that's how you figure out a median when its a even or odd number.

Mode is when you're looking for the number that are repeated more than once. For example 6 7 7 8 5 and the answer is 7 because it has been repeated more then once like twice. If there is like another group of numbers for example 6 8 5  you just write down nothing like just leave it blank because there is no mode in that group of numbers !

Anyways Hope you've learnt more from Mean, Median & Mode!

Genomics Part 2

When was the origin of life being? Billions of years ago on the young planet Earth. Simple organic compounds assembled into more complex coalitions that could grow and reproduce.

Who were the first living things on the Earth ? They  were the very first life on earth And they gave birth to everyone of the billion speeches that have inhabited our planet since.

So where on earth could life begin?
To begin the search for the cradle of life, it's important to first understand the basic necessities for any life form. Elements and compounds essential to life include hydrogen, methane, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, phosphates and ammonia. In order of these ingredients to comele and react with each other, they need liquid solvent water. And in order to grow and reproduce, all life needs a source of energy.

What was the first life form?
The first life form wouldn’t have had other organisms to consume. Life forms are divided into two camps, autotrophs like plants, that generate their own energy and heterotrophs, like animals, that consume other organisms for energy. Genomics Part 1

Kia orana readers and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be blogging about Genomics which is our inquriy topic that we've been focusing on this term anyways here is my information I find out about Genome  !

What is DNA ?
Your DNA  is like an instruction book. It contains the instructions for living. It contains the instructions for living things like you to develop, grow and function. Variations in DNA instructions can make a difference to how a living being looks, develops, or responds to its environment.

What is a Genome? The complete set of a living beings DNA instruction is called a genome.  Our human genetic  instructions, crammed into our cells, are made up of more than 6000 Million DNA letters that are divided across 46   chromosomes that we inherit   from our  parents  23 from our mother and 23 from our father.

And that is all the information I have today ! Thanks for reading

๐Ÿฌ Sugar Good or Bad ๐Ÿฌ

Yeoboseyo readers and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be blogging a late post about Is sugar Good or Bad...?? The sicinenets are still unsure but most says its bad for us but why.? Well I tell you everything me & my buddy vaiola has done a short infomation report about Sugar ! This is all the information we could get and know and I really hope that you can learn more from this !

What is sugar ?  Sugar is a carbohydrate consisting of glucose molecule and fructose molecule, also known as sucrose. Sucrose is made out of sugar cane and sugar beet. It is also founded in some natural foods like fruits and Honey.

What happens to sugar in our bodies ? When we eat sugar it is digested in the small intestine where an enzyme named sucrase splits the bond between the glucose and fructose molecule, these molecules then get sent to the lever.

Why is sugar good for you ? Well it seems like sugar is good for you because it provides energy because of the fruits and that is why we should always eat the natural sugar instead of adding more sugar so that is why natural sugar is good for you remember that.

Why is sugar bad for you ? Well it’s said in research that sugar is a very made nutrients, Well you know why it's bad because we abuse our bodies with adding sugar intake not using the natural sugar so it makes sense why sugar is bad for you and it can cause of diabetes
I swapped sugar for 'good' fats ... and soon had to tighten my belt
