🧮 Mean Median Mode 🧮

Kia orana readers and welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be doing a blogpost about  Mean, Median and mode, it's pretty difficult to explain because it's three different topics that has to do with maths. I will be explaining about what is a Mean, Mode & Median, but first I'll be explaining about what  is a mean.

Mean is about adding up numbers and then dividing it after so then you add up all of the numbers  to get the total (2+11+2+4+ 5 = 35  ÷ 5 = 7). After you got your total you divided by the group of how many numbers of groups and that is how you calculate a mean.

Median is all about the middle number for example 3 2 1 and 2 is the median because it's the number in the middle. If it is an even group of numbers for example 1 2 3 4, the first thing you'll do is 2 + 3 = 5 ÷ 2 = 2.5 and that's how you figure out a median when its a even or odd number.

Mode is when you're looking for the number that are repeated more than once. For example 6 7 7 8 5 and the answer is 7 because it has been repeated more then once like twice. If there is like another group of numbers for example 6 8 5  you just write down nothing like just leave it blank because there is no mode in that group of numbers !

🧮 Surface Area of a Cuboid 🧮

Malo E lelei readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be doing a blogpost about how to calculate of a Surface Area of a Cuboid ! 

So there is the length, height and width which is equal to 40cm, 20cm & 30cm. How I calculate the surface area of a Cuboid, I first did 40cm + 30cm + 20cm = 90cm x 2 = 180cm2 and that is the surface Area of a cuboid, pretty easy am I right you just need to figure out the Area which is the inside.

And remember to stay tune for my next blog post which is about calculating the volume of the cuboid !

🧮 Maths Reflection🤔

Hello fellow humans, aliens, unicorns and all people out there in the world ! Today I'll be blogging about the Maths my class just did this morning ! We learnt about the features and properties of a square, so let's beginning ! A square has 4 sides and all side are equal if you didn't know also there are 4 coroner (vertex), it even has 4 angles which is equal to 90° degrees. Fun fact is that its a flat shape and thats why its a 2D shape. 

The other thing I learnt this morning was a Area of a square which is the inside of the square which the formula is to multiply the side by side for example 5cm x 5cm = 25cm2. The reason why we multiply side by side is because a square is an equal shape. 

The Most hard thing I've learnt is Total surface area of a cubes, so there are 6 faces (the flat sides) and the area of 1 face - 25cm2 also  the total surface formula for a Cube would be Area = 25cm2 x 6 = 150cm2.

🧮 Fraction Maths Sums 🧮

Talofa lava, Kia orana, Malo E lelei, Bula Vinaka and greeting to you all ! Today I'll be doing a session about my maths which is about word fraction problem, anyways here is the math problem !


Of the 50 students that tried out for the Rippa Rugby team, three-tenths were in Room 2, two-tenths came from Rooms 1 and 3 combined, two-tenths came from Room 4 and the remaining students were from Rooms 7, 6 and 5 combined. How many students came from each group?


First of all to figure out  the missing fraction we have to add up 3/10 + 2/10 + 2/10 = 7/10 + ?/10 = 1w. Well since 7/10 + 3/10 = 1w so that is the missing fraction students in Rm5,6,7

Next I did was 3/10 of 50 =  50 ÷ 10 = 5 × 3 =  15 students in Rm 2 and Rm 5,6,7. After that I figure out what 2/10 of 50 = 50÷ 10  =  5 x 2 = 10 students in Rm 1, 3 and Rm 4

What have I've learnt from this equation ? I've learnt how to divided by the denominator with the whole number and then multiply it which gives you the answer to your equation. 
Now I've understand what the equation meant because everything was so confusing at first but looking at it now it's quite easy am I right or no ?.

🧮 Fractions Word Problem Day 3🧮

Hola readers and welcome back to my blog !  Today I'll be doing a fraction word problem which is stage 7/8. Anyways here is problem. 

Four-sixths of the books on the shelf are picture books. The other 24 books on the shelf are non-fiction books. How many picture books are there?
So firstly I did was figure out 4/6 + n/6 = 1w which is 4/6 + 2/6 = 1w.
Next  I did was finding out what 1/6 = ? and then I figure out 2/6 = 24  so that means 1/6 = 12. 
Thirdly, what i did was 4/6 = 48 so there are 48 picture books.
This problem is about solving word fractions, it was very simple because the hints and clues just made it more easier to solve this equation and I hope you've learnt something  new from this equation tonight !

IALT : Calculate these Equations

1) 6^3 - 5^2 =   216 -25= 191



2)2^2 + 3^3   = 4+9=8



3) Square Root of 9 + Square Root 16 = 3 + 4=

7



4) Cube root of 216 + Cube root of 27 = 6+3=9



5) Cube root of 27 - Cube root of 8 = 3-2=2





6) Square root of 25 + Cube root of 8 = 5 + 2 = 

7



7)  Square root of 25 - Cube root of 27 = 5-3=2



8) Cube root of 216 +  Square root of 4 - Square root of 16 = 6 + 16 - 4 = 18

9) Square root of 9 - Cube root of 27 + Square root of 4 = 18-3+2=17
