✊ Holidays in Lockdown Exprince ✊

Ni Hao readers and welcome back to my blog. Todays blog post is going to be reflecting about my 2week holidays in Lockdown. I'll be talking about my two favorite things I did in Lockdown one of them was casually going online and talking to my friends and going on a ride to the beach. It was a casual cold night its suppose to be spring almost summer but anyways what happened that night, I was just chilling on my chromebook and just going through my socails (Tiktok and Youtube etc). I felt very bored I decide to face time my friends on google meets and we'd all stay up trying to connect with each other online and I've stayed up online for hours non-sleep, usually I went to bed at 4am and woke up around 12 or 1pm. (Yep really late), It was the holidays so there was nothing intersting to do but eat all these ice blocks my dad brought for us (For he works at Tip Top), I really like eating ice blocks I usually ate heaps and I get hungry and eat lots of food. During the Holidays some days we went on Night rides since we we're in lockdown I always was bored and we had to go on walks to the Mountian for example (Very tiring and annoyed). Another thing I loved doing in the holidays was binge watching all my asian dramas (Although I still do it during my freetime), I loved watching many things and I watched Squid Game, My name, I'm Not a Robot also some shows such as On my Block, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diares  and stay up for hours watching really tiring but always worth doing because its fun!

๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡บ Happy Niuean Language Week ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡บ

Fakalofa lahi atu ki mua and welcome back to my blog! It has been a really long time blogging and today I am coming back with another blogpost and its about celebrating and embracing this culture (as I'm not Niuean though), I like embracing everyones culture and this week I've been learning with Room 8, So many legends and myths about the small island and we've also played kahoot (Its this learning game) about Niuean language week. The theme of Niuean Language Week of 2021 is  Kia Tupuolaola e Moui he Tagata Niue means  May the Tagata Niue thrive. What did I learn from the Niuean culture is that its very simlliar to some of the Pacific Islands and its really easy learning. What I enjoy learning about this culture is just using my knowledge of other cultures to understand the meaning of words and learning so much about their myths and legends was really fun! I really hope everyone has a safe lockdown and Happy Niuean Language Week, Here are a few things that will help you learn some Niuean for the culture! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’›

Greetings :

Day's of the Week In Niuean

๐Ÿฆ‹ Reflection of Term 3 ๐Ÿฆ‹

Konchiwa readers and welcome back to my blog! Well todays blog post is going to be about my refelction on Term 3. So far to start I only had a few weeks with my class and we we're going on our ballet trip and ochestra trip. During the Ballet trip, it was discovered Covid-19 Delta has finally came to NZ, and once again the whole country became to be in lockdown and then it became only Auckland stuck in lockdown, so many cases but I'm going to talk about my learning. The few things I've learnt in online learning in Ms Ashley & Mr J's Classes I mostly learnt about Maths all the normal learning subjects I mostly do in classes. What I really enjoyed was being in Ms Ashely's classes and learning about Myths and Legeneds and being able to conect with the other students on the online sessions and summarise what we've learnt for five mintues. I want to work on alot of things because in my oringial class with Mr Jasne I always tend to be confused with maths, I really like maths but it sometimes hard when learning so much about angles and how to solve them also something about circle. I also enjoyed getting lots of feedback from Mr Janse, because it helped me strive to achieve all my goals.

๐Ÿงช Genetics Science ๐Ÿงช

Talofa readers and welcome back to my blog! Today's Online session with Room 9, We learnt about Gennetics and we had to chose a subject in Genetics, I'm currently working on Genetic Science. Now you maybe wondering.

"What is Genetics Science"? Genetics is a study of genes and heredity- of how cenrtain qualities or traits are passed down from their parents to off spring as a result of changes in DNA. One of my reasons I've chose Genetics Science is because I like learning more about genes and I like taking a challenge and it seems like a challenge.

Let's learn aboout "Can DNA Demand a verdict"? In 1987, forsenic DNA analyis made its first appearneace in US court room. Oringianlly known as "DNA printing", this type of analyis is now called "DNA profiling" or "DNA testing" to distingush it from tradtional skin fingerprinting. Even though its use for crinimal cases, DNA profling has helped how to find the suspects in mostly violent crimes such as rape or murder.

What I found out is about the article I read about Genetics science is that DNA can be used for alot of things such as looking for the suspect esspecialy in a crime. "DNA testing", I really liked learning about this because it could help alot of people if they are studying more about things as law here are some example of photos that describes about the DNA :

๐ŸŒฑ Biosecurity ๐ŸŒฑ

Hola readers and welcome back to another blogpost with Lily! In online learning session today we are learning about Biosecurity, What is biosecuirty you may be wondering? It's the topic we would be learning about that has to do with sicince. Biosecurity is a protection of an enviorment in New Zealand from Biogical threats. Why is biosecurity really important? The biosecurity system prevents or manages risks from harmful organsims, like pests and diease. The system of biosecurity helps protect New Zealand's ecconomy, enviroment, human health. It does this by stopping pests and diesases before they arrive. What I've learnt about Biosecurity is that it helps everyone in the country and that it is really helpful! I hope that we can find many conclusions to solve problem's like diease and stuff. I really enjoyed learning this for my day in home learning!

Question of my blog : What do you think about biosecurity?
Hope you can give me some feedback :)

๐Ÿฉฐ RBNZ Reflection ๐Ÿฉฐ

Bonjour readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be doing a reflection about tuesday, this was before we knew lockdown happened, yet it was such a fun exprince of learning how to ballet and it was cool looking at others peform.

17th of August it was a beautiful day and every student from year 4-8 at Tamaki Primary School we’re going on a trip to Manukau Vodafone Centre to watch a Ballet performed by Royal Ballet New Zealand.

The reason we're going on this trip is because our inquiry topic is about Arts & Performance. During the trip we’re in this big bendy bus with Tala Muka O Tonga (The tongan class), Te Puna Wairua (The Maori class) & Room 9 (My classroom). It was so loud in the bus everyone sounded like animals and I was sitting there in silence looking at the roads and seeing how cars work.

I was beginning to get lost in my own imagination until we had finally arrived at the Manukau Vodafone Center, our class was the last to get off the bus. As I walked in I could just feel the breeze of the loudness, as soon we had arrived to our arranged seats Lily, Lino & I decided to become friends with these students from Papakura Normal school (Yet we still don’t know their names), we introduced ourselves to them and started asking them questions until it was time to watch the performance the host of the show was talking about what ballet show we’d be watching and it was the Swan Lake.

The Swan lake was based on the story of a Princess that had turned into a swan but at night she’d be human again and there was a Prince that found her beauty so naturally they danced and danced and the performance was ending with a good duet. I really enjoyed watching this performance because I learnt a lot about ballet after watching it. The host of the show said we could become performers too, so two students from other schools we’re taught some of the ballet moves from the duet. It was kinda cool to see other people perform.

Later on, the ugly duckling show was coming on and Lino, Lily & I slept throughout the whole show as I could wake up and then fall back to sleep in my dream. I couldn’t understand the story behind the Te Reo Maori but it was cool. As soon as I could hear applause I knew the show had ended but there were a few things we had to do. There were some questions from schools they wanted to ask the dancers, some questions we’re kind of personal and others we’re just about their journey throughout ballet.

Overall, throughout the trip I really enjoyed the bonds I had with my friends and it was quite funny during the bus being around Lino & Mariah on our way back, as we got back to school I was walking so fast on my way to school rushing for I was so obsessed to get a bite of food & as I was going back home it was when I knew it was when the news popped up that Delta Covid-19 had returned to New Zealand and here we are in Covid-19 Lockdown, I was so frightened for we had just returned from a trip that we could’ve had covid with us spreading or who knows what! I’m glad we have a lockdown and that it might get extended due to so  many new cases.

IALA : ๐ŸŒน How to response text about The day of the dead ๐ŸŒบ

Hola readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be doing a blogpost about my response text about the day of the dead, if you are wondering what does the day of the dead means it's about honoring all the loved ones that has passed away, it is a tradtional thing in Mexico, it is celebrated on October 31st, November 1st & 2nd! During the day of the dead the families of the loved ones who have died always often visit them and clean and decorate their grave. Dia De Los Muetros. The decorations they like to use on Dia De los Muetros (Day of the dead) are Sugar skull Masks, Decorating lanterns, DIY Marigolds, Painted sugar rocks & Custom Skull mugs. A fact about Dia de Los Muetros is that its a mexicain version of Halloween and it's a celebration about the living and the dead. The celebration is celebrated all over Latin America with colourful calaveras (skulls) and calacas (skeletons). The skulls and skeletons on the day of the dead are repsented of a playful symbol life after death, many times repsenting those who have died engaging their favorite activites.

I really liked learning about Dia de Los Muetros because it's a day to honour those who have died, It's really cool to learn about other cultures signficant about the day of the dead! I really liked this text that I've watched a movie called coco which has to do with Dia De los muetros, a really amazing movie & I recommend you to watch it!

Question of my blog : what do you think about the day of the dead?

IALA : ๐ŸŒ™ Reasoing in Geometrey ๐ŸŒ™

Talofa lava readers and welcome back to my blog! Today in room 9 we've had done a little recap on knowing the reasoning in Geometrey, what I've learnt was that a straight angle = 180 degrees. The equation I was given was quite diffcult to use because it had letters because we've used algerba (which I can't really explain).  Here is my example :

I really liked learning about this because it made me become more confident with myself, I found this really challenging and I always liked having challenges and I'm not really good with Maths and it was a good recap to learn more about it! Geometry can be fun if you just try and make mistakes along the way you'd know lots of things every single day :)

Question of my blog : Have you ever learned reasoing in geometrey?
Thank you so much :)

๐ŸŒฌ️ Reflection about Dogde Ball Twist & Ballet ๐ŸŽญ

Malo E lelei readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be reflecting on about our evasive game, I felt so excited and I was happy going outside to play a game. The game was called Dodge ball with a twist the rules we're kind of like netball and yeah. First of all we got into two teams and we started having three rounds of playing dogde ball with the twist. The skills was to learn how to coumicate to each other and learning to trust each other along the way, one of them was also I needed to catch the ball to help my teamates surround around other people in a conrener to tag them! I enjoyed learning more about my teamates and trusting them more and buliding postivie realtionships with others in my class room! It was so cold but we still had so much fun running around and getting togther! After Morning tea, Room 9 went to the ballet workshop. We learnt how to do a plate and leap and lots of excersing skills, it was great fun :). What I loved about the ballet lesson was that I really liked the leap skill and palate (bend), ballet is from france and I really love the dancing skills that Loren (our teacher) taught us! I had real fun today and I got to laugh around with my friends and learn more about them! Overall I hope you liked reading this :)!

๐Ÿค  Week's Reflection๐Ÿค

Annyeonghaseyo readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be explaining this week's learning so far, I've liked this week because I got to learn exciting things and I  was so happy to come to school. So far it's quite boring and I get tired of having work! But at the end of the day it's quite fun, my favorite thing about this week was today's assembly was all about celebrating Cook Island language week, it was so exciting to see lots of students learning and embracing other people's culture. I liked the Juniors syndicate's dancing it was very entertaining and exciting because it made me happy seeing other people learning Cook Island stuff. Everything I've learnt this week was facisinating it made me realised that school can be boring with loads of work but its fun coming to playing touch with friends. I can't wait for more things to happen in Term 3 esspecailly since there's still more sports and fun activites and learning to bulid more friendships with others in the class!

Question of my blog : What do you like about the start of Term 3?

Order of Operation (BEDMAS) with Lily. U

Talofa lava readers and welcome back to my blog! Today in room 9 we've learnt about Order of Operation. Have you ever heard about BEDMAS? Well I'll be explaining to you about what it is about! Order of Operation is about BEDMAS = Brackets, Exponets, Division, Mutilpication, Addition, Subtraction numbers this is a fourm that we use for maths that easier for us. For example I'll be compeleting this equation :  5 x (6 – 32) x 2 = (6 - 9 = -3) 5 x -3 = -15 x 2 = -30. I really liked learning about this type of maths because it gives me more things that I'm very capable!

Machine generated alternative text:
We use BEDMAS to solve problems with
multiple operations.
B Brackets
E Exponents
M Division I Multiplication
Addition I Subtraction

Question of my blog : Have you solved an equation with BEDMAS?

Thank you so much :)
