🌱 Biosecurity 🌱

Hola readers and welcome back to another blogpost with Lily! In online learning session today we are learning about Biosecurity, What is biosecuirty you may be wondering? It's the topic we would be learning about that has to do with sicince. Biosecurity is a protection of an enviorment in New Zealand from Biogical threats. Why is biosecurity really important? The biosecurity system prevents or manages risks from harmful organsims, like pests and diease. The system of biosecurity helps protect New Zealand's ecconomy, enviroment, human health. It does this by stopping pests and diesases before they arrive. What I've learnt about Biosecurity is that it helps everyone in the country and that it is really helpful! I hope that we can find many conclusions to solve problem's like diease and stuff. I really enjoyed learning this for my day in home learning!

Question of my blog : What do you think about biosecurity?
Hope you can give me some feedback :)

🩰 RBNZ Reflection 🩰

Bonjour readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be doing a reflection about tuesday, this was before we knew lockdown happened, yet it was such a fun exprince of learning how to ballet and it was cool looking at others peform.

17th of August it was a beautiful day and every student from year 4-8 at Tamaki Primary School we’re going on a trip to Manukau Vodafone Centre to watch a Ballet performed by Royal Ballet New Zealand.

The reason we're going on this trip is because our inquiry topic is about Arts & Performance. During the trip we’re in this big bendy bus with Tala Muka O Tonga (The tongan class), Te Puna Wairua (The Maori class) & Room 9 (My classroom). It was so loud in the bus everyone sounded like animals and I was sitting there in silence looking at the roads and seeing how cars work.

I was beginning to get lost in my own imagination until we had finally arrived at the Manukau Vodafone Center, our class was the last to get off the bus. As I walked in I could just feel the breeze of the loudness, as soon we had arrived to our arranged seats Lily, Lino & I decided to become friends with these students from Papakura Normal school (Yet we still don’t know their names), we introduced ourselves to them and started asking them questions until it was time to watch the performance the host of the show was talking about what ballet show we’d be watching and it was the Swan Lake.

The Swan lake was based on the story of a Princess that had turned into a swan but at night she’d be human again and there was a Prince that found her beauty so naturally they danced and danced and the performance was ending with a good duet. I really enjoyed watching this performance because I learnt a lot about ballet after watching it. The host of the show said we could become performers too, so two students from other schools we’re taught some of the ballet moves from the duet. It was kinda cool to see other people perform.

Later on, the ugly duckling show was coming on and Lino, Lily & I slept throughout the whole show as I could wake up and then fall back to sleep in my dream. I couldn’t understand the story behind the Te Reo Maori but it was cool. As soon as I could hear applause I knew the show had ended but there were a few things we had to do. There were some questions from schools they wanted to ask the dancers, some questions we’re kind of personal and others we’re just about their journey throughout ballet.

Overall, throughout the trip I really enjoyed the bonds I had with my friends and it was quite funny during the bus being around Lino & Mariah on our way back, as we got back to school I was walking so fast on my way to school rushing for I was so obsessed to get a bite of food & as I was going back home it was when I knew it was when the news popped up that Delta Covid-19 had returned to New Zealand and here we are in Covid-19 Lockdown, I was so frightened for we had just returned from a trip that we could’ve had covid with us spreading or who knows what! I’m glad we have a lockdown and that it might get extended due to so  many new cases.

IALA : 🌹 How to response text about The day of the dead 🌺

Hola readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be doing a blogpost about my response text about the day of the dead, if you are wondering what does the day of the dead means it's about honoring all the loved ones that has passed away, it is a tradtional thing in Mexico, it is celebrated on October 31st, November 1st & 2nd! During the day of the dead the families of the loved ones who have died always often visit them and clean and decorate their grave. Dia De Los Muetros. The decorations they like to use on Dia De los Muetros (Day of the dead) are Sugar skull Masks, Decorating lanterns, DIY Marigolds, Painted sugar rocks & Custom Skull mugs. A fact about Dia de Los Muetros is that its a mexicain version of Halloween and it's a celebration about the living and the dead. The celebration is celebrated all over Latin America with colourful calaveras (skulls) and calacas (skeletons). The skulls and skeletons on the day of the dead are repsented of a playful symbol life after death, many times repsenting those who have died engaging their favorite activites.

I really liked learning about Dia de Los Muetros because it's a day to honour those who have died, It's really cool to learn about other cultures signficant about the day of the dead! I really liked this text that I've watched a movie called coco which has to do with Dia De los muetros, a really amazing movie & I recommend you to watch it!

IALA : 🌙 Reasoing in Geometrey 🌙

Talofa lava readers and welcome back to my blog! Today in room 9 we've had done a little recap on knowing the reasoning in Geometrey, what I've learnt was that a straight angle = 180 degrees. The equation I was given was quite diffcult to use because it had letters because we've used algerba (which I can't really explain).  Here is my example :

I really liked learning about this because it made me become more confident with myself, I found this really challenging and I always liked having challenges and I'm not really good with Maths and it was a good recap to learn more about it! Geometry can be fun if you just try and make mistakes along the way you'd know lots of things every single day :)

Question of my blog : Have you ever learned reasoing in geometrey?
Thank you so much :)

🌬️ Reflection about Dogde Ball Twist & Ballet 🎭

Malo E lelei readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be reflecting on about our evasive game, I felt so excited and I was happy going outside to play a game. The game was called Dodge ball with a twist the rules we're kind of like netball and yeah. First of all we got into two teams and we started having three rounds of playing dogde ball with the twist. The skills was to learn how to coumicate to each other and learning to trust each other along the way, one of them was also I needed to catch the ball to help my teamates surround around other people in a conrener to tag them! I enjoyed learning more about my teamates and trusting them more and buliding postivie realtionships with others in my class room! It was so cold but we still had so much fun running around and getting togther! After Morning tea, Room 9 went to the ballet workshop. We learnt how to do a plate and leap and lots of excersing skills, it was great fun :). What I loved about the ballet lesson was that I really liked the leap skill and palate (bend), ballet is from france and I really love the dancing skills that Loren (our teacher) taught us! I had real fun today and I got to laugh around with my friends and learn more about them! Overall I hope you liked reading this :)!

Question of my blog : What do you think about Dogde ball twist & Ballet?

Annyeonghaseyo readers and welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be explaining this week's learning so far, I've liked this week because I got to learn exciting things and I  was so happy to come to school. So far it's quite boring and I get tired of having work! I liked the Juniors syndicate's dancing it was very entertaining and exciting because it made me happy seeing other people learning Cook Island stuff. Everything I've learnt this week was facisinating it made me realised that school can be boring with loads of work but its fun coming to playing touch with friends. I can't wait for more things to happen in Term 3 esspecailly since there's still more sports and fun activites and learning to bulid more friendships with others in the class!

Order of Operation (BEDMAS) with Lily. U

Talofa lava readers and welcome back to my blog! Today in room 9 we've learnt about Order of Operation. Have you ever heard about BEDMAS? Well I'll be explaining to you about what it is about! Order of Operation is about BEDMAS = Brackets, Exponets, Division, Mutilpication, Addition, Subtraction numbers this is a fourm that we use for maths that easier for us. For example I'll be compeleting this equation :  5 x (6 – 32) x 2 = (6 - 9 = -3) 5 x -3 = -15 x 2 = -30. I really liked learning about this type of maths because it gives me more things that I'm very capable!

Machine generated alternative text:
We use BEDMAS to solve problems with
multiple operations.
B Brackets
E Exponents
M Division I Multiplication
Addition I Subtraction

Question of my blog : Have you solved an equation with BEDMAS?

Thank you so much :)
