INTRODUCTION:
WHAT: went to the museum
WHO: Rooms 5,6,7,8. Parent helpers were Lisi and Harriet.
WHEN: Wednesday 12th September 2018.
WHERE: Auckland Museum, The Domain.
WHY: Our inquiry topic is about natural disasters, so went to see the volcano room.
HOW: bus.
PARAGRAPH 1: GOING THERE
Did the roll and go into groups - went to the hall. Our parent helpers were Lisi (Lily’s mum) and Harriet (Reigns nana). Mrs F talked to us. Got on the bus.
Morning tea, put our bags away, museum people told us the rules.
PARAGRAPH 2: GROUND FLOOR
Ancient stuff - century, clothes
Maori court - waka, treaty of waitangi, weapons, greenstone, taniwha, tattoo, Marae took a picture. Take our shoes off. Bone. taiaha.
Pasifika stuff - Moana boat, Tonga sign photo, touching the water.
PARAGRAPH 3: FIRST FLOOR
Volcano room - shaking, screamed, laughed, rock statue, pumice, obsidian, basalt, lifting up the rocks, musical rocks hit with the hammer, fake volcano and ash cloud, Pompei lady, lava bomb, lava tree, lights flickered, watching the news,
Weird and wonderful - kids playing with bones, turtle shells, spiders, kiwi, coloured, cool camera thing, stairs with bean bags, soft animals, fake bats.
Dinosaur room - shark hanging from the roof, bones, fossils, eggs, cave, birds, bats. Took a class photo. Kiwi. wetas. Insects. Snakes.
PARAGRAPH 4: TOP FLOOR
War stuff - weapons, massive torpedo in a fake submarine, guns, gun noises playing, lots of names of people who died in the wars, aeroplanes - Spitfire and a Zero. prime ministers and presidents pictures. Hitler. World war 2 - benghazi, alamein, allies and axis. Badges that people wore or they earnt. Telephones that you could listen to people talking.
Butterfly room - coloured butterflies, took a photo of kids with the wings, getting hungry and tired.
PARAGRAPH 5: LUNCHTIME AND GOING HOME
Met down in the lobby, waited for the other classes, went to the field, ate our lunch, played games.
Went to the bus at 1.30pm.
Came back to school - arrived at 2pm.
CONCLUSION: HOW I FELT
Exhausted but had a really good day.

WRITE HERE:
On (Wednesday 12th September 2018) , in Room 7 we were getting ready to do the roll and get into our own groups and the parent helpers were Lisi (My Mom), Harrient ( Reign’s Nana), so we lined up outside to go to the hall, while Room 7 got to the hall, we had wait for other classes, While we were waiting Mrs Fepuleai was talking to us about how we have to behave in the museum, so here are some examples
Keep hands ,feet, mouth to yourself
Wearing school uniform with pride everyday
No running in the museum
No screaming and (Using Inside voices)
No shouting
While all the classes were here, we finally got into the bus with Room 8, in the bus we were being so loud that we were playing hand games, sang some song together, I saw the large sky tower while we were in the bus.
We had finally arrived at the museum, so we sit down in the stairs and had some lunch, After that we waited to go inside, We finally got inside, so we went to explore the museum, So the first thing went to see was the century stuff where there is clothes and thing that people could make in the old days, it was so amazing to see the Old things from through the century it was really cool, After that we to gather in the line so Miss Ashley can count all of us then we all went to see the Maori court, while we were there we could see really interesting things like we saw this huge as waka (boat), we went inside the mare and took off our shoes, we had a class photo it was so beautiful the patterns that we kept on sliding but it felt like actually running it was pretty fun being in the mare for the first time.
We lined up in a line again so Miss ashley can cout all of us then we went to visit the pacifica area, I could see
The big moana boat, it was amazing the waka was enormous, people were so surprised about the enormous boat after that I walked and saw many thing about my culture, it was amazing, we took a photo with the tongan sign, I could see how my people design the tapa, I could see the costumes it was so pretty. So we lined up to go to the next floor up in the stairs.
When we got to the first floor we found a volcano room there was rocks that you can lift rocks and there is a rock that you can play music on it called basait.
There is a tv with fake news telling everyone about volcanoes after that there is a house in the house there is a huge window you can throw it but you can only see a screen that looks like it outside and of course there is a volcano.A couple of minutes later the tv turned on it was the news after that I thought it was a Simulator After that the stages of volcanic eruption the ground started shaking. Later on we went to weird and wonderful when we first Glanced at it we thought it was the best it was like a tree house there were bone,turtle shell and spiders.There was a some stairs leading up to a little room with bean bags.after that there was a dinosaur room the dinosaur with huge dinosaur.
There was war stuff like weapon, massive tornado in a fake submarine, gun, the wall of memory aeroplanes.There was a spitfire room with a plane in it with video.Butterfly room with a big caterpillar that you crawl throw and there was a an computer that you can color your butterfly.
Then we had a fun time at the Museum we had to end it by having lunch outside the field, it was a really fun, me and my friends played races and we waited for the bus to come, while the bus was coming we lined up into 2 lines to get into the bus, when we got back to school Mr Tarwara came and teached us this song it was so much fun !
