🤔 Auckland Museum Trip 🤔

Malo e lelei readers! Welcome back to my interesting blog! Today I would be talking about the Kia Toa magnificent trip to the Museum!

What a magnificent sunny day as the sun slowly heating up the world with its bright yellow sweet face.

The day had just begun, I was feeling so hyped up to go to the Auckland   Museum because I was going to experience lots of new things in the Auckland Museum.
The Kia Toa Syndicate had finally arrived at the Museum. We were getting welcome by our tourists Matua Toe & Matua T to the Museum it was kind of pretty welcoming of them to welcome them to the EPIC Museum. Our class started to go and find some new educational things, we first split into our groups (my group was Mrs. Tafea, Me, Lusia, Kingston, Metui, Leeane, Eve, Lemki, Lexus) Mrs Tafea group, Symone (Davlyn Mom) Group & Sofele Dad, After this we went inside and started to go wandering around and looking for educational things in the Museum (something that was really interesting) .

Mrs Tafea group (My Group) looked at history artifacts about the wars such as World War 1 & 2, New Zealand Wars in fact it was so fascinating to learn lots of historical things. I felt so heartbroken to see those men in war died for they sacrifice their own life for the world.

Later on we had a fabulous educational session with our tour guide at the Maori court inside the Marae (it was so appealing to be there). The tour guides showed us the Eastern Pacific area and told us a really entertaining story about Kupe & the Octopus, then we came back to the Maori court to learn more about Maori history. Meanwhile we were in the Maori Court the tour guides told us that we could touch these special things inside this mystery bag. We first had to split into groups of 4 or 5 people, in my group there was Vaiola, Me, Latta & Nyse. The tour guides told us to open the mystery bag, we looked and founded out that it was one of the volcano rocks and the rock was called Obsidian. It was really sharp and really hard that the tour guides asked us what were they used for in such living and we thought about it and said it could of been used as a weapon or something since it was really sharp.

My favorite highlight of the day was reading and looking at information about historical things because it was pleasurement to come to the Museum to learn something educational.

Who Was Helen Keller ?

Image result for Helen Keller

Talofa lava readers. Welcome back to my  blog. Today Room 8 has done another wonderopolis, we have decide to do who was Helen Keller ?  Helen Keller is a beautiful women that was deaf and blind. She inspired lots of people   from her first book that she wrote was called "The story of my life". It was really interesting because it talks about the "Miracle Worker" (Anne Sullivan) that had helped her as a young girl to read and write, Helen learnt how to speak by putting her hand on Anne face she could feel vibration words coming out and that is how she had learnt how to speak. She had learnt so much that whenever she try speaking it doesn't quite come out as like a normal voice so mostly she has a translator. Here is a quote I have found she has written.
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart. This is a really emotional quote to me because it really made me instred in her and made me wanted to learn more, Helen had a sad story but at the end she really did try her best and it turn out she was amazing author. Today research was really fun because I learnt that women/girls & men/boys can do anything if they just try their best they would success in their learning.

Who was the most female famous Aviator

Malo e lelei readers. Welcome back to my blog. Today I would be blogging about the most famous female Aviator (Pilot)................... Amelia Earhart. This week Room 8 has done a research about her and has found out so much about this woman. Amelia Earhart is the first woman ever to  cross over the Atlantic Ocean even though she wasn't the one piloting the plane but when she came back to America she became famous. In May 1932, Amelia did another Journey to the Atlantic Ocean, but this time she was alone on the plane. She even broke the record, as she came back from her journey President Herbert Hoover awarded Amelia with a medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross, for her accomplishment. She was the first to receive this honor.  Amelia Story is a really amazing story, to me I think her story is encouraging us girls/woman's to try anything and follow your dreams.

🎉Easter Facts🎉

Malo e lelei readers! Welcome back to my blog! Today I'll be talking about facts I know about Easter ! Easter is a celebration and holiday where we celebrate Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins as it said in the New Testament ! Some people believed that  the word Easter comes from the pagan holiday honoring Eostre the pagan goddess of Spring which symbolized rebirth. Easter is also known as Pasch or Pascha. The day before Easter and the last day of Holy Week is when christians prepare  for Easter. Easter is so important to me like other christanty people because it is talking about that Jesus of Nazareth died for me and you because of our sin.

Information Report- Captain James Cook

Malo e lelei readers ! Welcome back to my blog ! Today I will be sharing information about Captain James Cook. The reason why I chose James cook was because Room 8 has been learning so much about New Zealand history. So Mrs Tafea gives us a really simple task which was great that I am going to be sharing my information right now. Here are lots of interesting things in fact I actually never knew that much.

Introduction
Captain Cook was a greatly admired and honored by many. He was a tremendously capable Sea Captain, a natural leader and a man of peace.
James Cook was a son of seven children, his family were really poor that they couldn't afford much things. His father was a ordinary farm labourer (which in fact his master decide to pay James Cook to go to village school). When James cook finished school he decide to  study maths and navigation because he wanted to be an amazing navigator.
What were James cook abilities

James cook was a person with many different abilities. His abilities  were apprentice to a shopkeeper, navigator, sailor. James cook was given a command of the Endeavour by England's Royal society. The ship that James Cook used was called Endeavour it was basically a ship for coral that it wasn't quite fast but it was really helpful though because it could carry loads of heavy things.
Why was James Cook so famous ?
James cook was famous for many reasons because of his amazing abilities (which were navigation, explorer and cartographer. He was really talented because of his voyages to the Pacific Ocean and his excellent mapping of it.
How did James Cook sail to New Zealand ?
James cook sighted Aotearoa (New Zealand) on the 6th of October 1769 because of the youngest boy in their ship spotted the land, the next two days they landed in Poverty Bay. While they were in New Zealand he drew detailed maps of the country, and wrote many things about the Maori people.
Conclusion

James Cook was an honored man that had many abilities that he was really good at respecting Native people that lived in country. In fact James Cook really did inspired most people to explore and travel, he even inspired to travel and explore more of the world.
