Today in room 8 we have been learning about the History of NZ (which is talking more information about our home land, for example I live in the North Island of NZ and I come from the largest city in NZ Auckland ). Maths

Kamusta readers ! Welcome back to my blog ! These past few weeks we have been learning about Place value and we used many strategies such as Algorithm and tidy number, we learnt these stariges last year but now I have gone more confident to learn more maths throughout this term.It has been great using different stariges and getting to build confidence to learn more maths and I loved it when we got to learn more because I actually learnt from my mistakes and kept on trying. These few weeks has been the best learning maths with Mrs Tafea and having great fun !

Writing Otai

Kamusta readers ! Welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be writing a recount based on Room 8 making the Otai (which we made last week Friday) ! 
Last week Room 8 successfully made otai with 15 green apples, one can of mango pulp, one can of crushed pineapple, three boxes of anchor milk and cold Ice and one cup of sugar.

Firstly we grabbed the big white container then Mrs Tafea carefully poured the ice bag into the container. After that she  open three boxes of anchor milk then she poured it carefully inside the container. After a 
while Mrs Tafea carefully open the cans of crushed pineapple and mango pulp then she poured it into the big container.
Next the boys peeled the green apples with the peeler then we put it into the black bowl to get washed by cold water.

Then Mrs Tafea used a sharp knife to take out the apple core before Vaiola and I grabbed the green sour apples to be graded with a grader.

Finally we mixed the delicious ingredients together with some brown sugar. We stirred it well with a big spoon so that the sugar can dissolved with ingredients. 

At last, I got to enjoy the cold yummy otai. It was so delicious.

Making kites

Malo lele Readers ! Welcome back to my blog ! Today I'll be blogging about making kites with Room 6 ! 

One bright sunny morning, two amazing classes (which are  Rm6 and Rm8) were making kites. 

First we got inside Rm6 and sat down on the dirty mat, then we watched Mrs Tafea demonstrated how to make our beautiful kites. 

Next we went off to the table with our buddy (which my buddy was lino). After that we started to make our delightful kites.

Later on we got our materials (which were paper, tape, scissors, sticks and  decoration ). We first used the paper and folded in quarter then we fold it like a tringale then we cut the triangle part then it would look like a thrilling diamond shape. We went to Mrs sharma and got some sticks and tape after that we both tape the sticks on to the paper. Finally Me and Lino got to decorate our wonderful kite.

Incouilsion

The best part was flying the kite because it was really enjoyable playing with my friends and running around like a fast cheater with the kite. It was such a great time being with my friends and flying the kite.

Slow and steady win the race

Malo Lelei Readers ! Today I'll be blogging about slow and steady wins the race !

Once upon a time there lived a selfish Hare (who liked to brag so much about being so fast). There once lived a Tortoise who was really kind and confident.

One day the Tortoise was walking up to the (annoying selfish) hare  and he challenged him if he wanted a race and so the Hare replied "haha I'll accept your challenge".

The next day, the Hare and Tortoise began their race and all the animals gather around  the race track. The hare zoomed so fast while the Tortoise was walking so slowly.

The hare was sprinting so fast that he wanted a little nap. While the Tortoise was so ahead of him, the Tortoise barley looked in his direction.

The hare woke up from his nap and zoomed to the finish line but he was too late because the Tortoise was winning the race because Slow and Steady wins the race because the hare can't stop bragging about how fast he is and he didn't had enough energy for the race that is why the tortoise wins !
